For over 30 years, The Valdosta Choral Guild has sung in Mathis Auditorium, Wild Adventures and various churches around town for our own enjoyment and the enjoyment of our patrons and guests.
But just as Valdosta is growing, we are growing. Two years ago, we were extremely proud to be the first in all of Georgia to present, "Too Hot to Handel", the classic Handel's Messiah done in a "Sister Act" like style, to a packed house.
Now, we are delighted to have our voices joined by the Magnolia High School Choir of Magnolia Texas for our upcoming concert, "Mozart & More".
The Magnolia High School Choir will join us on the Mozart Requiem. Much of the music was featured in the 1984 movie "Amadeus". The Valdosta Choral Guild will also sing folk songs like "Camptown Races" with intricate and interesting harmonies. The Magnolia High School Choir will be singing their own as yet undisclosed selections.
